About Me

I'm a curious creative obsessed with all things artsy and crafty! My love for people and the power of imagination pushed me into the world of UX Design. My design process is a mix of precision and playfulness because I believe in making tech feel human, helping people think outside the box, and bringing their ideas to life. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me doodling, running my sticker shop, crocheting, camping, or diving headfirst into any new hobby I can get my hands on!
I’m a self-taught UX designer with two years of experience, and I hope that my journey can inspire others from non-traditional education paths. Despite my background, I’ve grown confident in this career, and my Psychology degree has been invaluable in understanding user behavior and enhancing my design work.

Discover

In the discover design phase, the focus is on understanding the problem and gathering insights. This involves researching user needs, market trends, and existing solutions. Techniques like user interviews, surveys, and observation are often employed to identify pain points and opportunities, laying the groundwork for effective ideation in the next phase. This is where designers can really start to understand the user needs and wants.

Ideate

In the ideate phase, the goal is to generate a wide range of ideas and potential solutions to the defined problem. Techniques like brainstorming, mind mapping, and sketching are used to encourage creativity and collaboration. The emphasis is on quantity over quality, allowing participants to explore various concepts without immediate judgment, which can later be refined and developed further.

Iterate

In the iterate phase, the focus is on refining and improving the design based on feedback and testing results. Designers evaluate prototypes or concepts, identify areas for enhancement, and make adjustments. This process often involves multiple cycles of testing, gathering user input, and revising the design to better meet user needs and improve functionality. The goal is to enhance the design through continuous feedback and iteration. We spend the

Test

In the test phase, prototypes or final designs are evaluated with real users to gather feedback on their usability, functionality, and overall experience. This may involve usability testing, A/B testing, or focus groups to observe how users interact with the design. The insights gained help identify any issues or areas for improvement, guiding further refinements and ensuring that the final product effectively meets user needs. While I truly believe in the value of testing for all products, I understand that budget constraints can sometimes limit my clients' ability to do so. I aim to find effective solutions that balance quality and cost while still prioritizing user needs.

Deliver

In the deliver phase, the finalized design is prepared for production or implementation. This includes creating detailed specifications, documentation, and any necessary materials for manufacturing or deployment. Collaboration with stakeholders, such as engineers or developers, ensures that the design is accurately realized. Additionally, this phase may involve planning for the launch and marketing of the product, ensuring everything is in place for a successful introduction to the market or intended audience.
